The Great Commission directs us to "go and make disciples of all nations." This can often seem like a daunting, near impossible task. We often feel as if one person can't possibly make a difference in the lives of those who live around the world. The truth is that one person CAN make a difference, and more importantly, GOD can do anything - with Him, all things are possible!
At City Heights Church, we currently support two "overseas" missions. The first, which we've been supporting virtually since the inception of City Heights Church 15 years ago, is the support of Prosper Kumado, a church planter in Ghana, Africa. We sponsor Prosper monthly through InternationalNeeds.
Our second mission is in the Dominican Republic. Pedro Florentino is a church planter and our contact on the ground in the Puerto Plata area. Through the years, many people from our congregation have visited, and many more have donated money, clothing, medicine, and much more to help alleviate some of the destitution of the people. We have built a church in the remote region of Cayacoa and also support Dr. Lambert S. Emmanuel in providing free medical care.
